For our October Symposium, we’re discussing Pentiment. David will be leading the discussion; I imagining that the theme of the game alone will lead to quite a bit of discussion, but I’m also curious to talk about how the game compares to other games in related genres (e.g. visual novels, detective games).

Hi David! I’m a graduate student from Fudan University, China, majoring in Comparative Literature, currently an exchange student at UConn. I noticed this organization through Professor Roger Travis’s blog. I’ve been trying to reach out to him to find a way to join you guys, but I haven’t received a reply yet. My research interest lies in video game criticism (i.e. using literary theory to seriously interpret a game) but sorry that I don’t have works posted online.
