Gone Home, rather surprisingly to me, has excited a lot of controversy, largely because of this review by Ian Bogost. It’ll probably work as a jumping off place for discussion in any case. My principal interest in the game is in the way it shapes immersion, of course; I think issues of content vs. ruleset (that false dichotomy, in my opinion) will link Bogost’s concerns with our usual ones.
