The game played in the very first VGHVI gaming session was Burnout Paradise, and that wasn’t an aberration: we’ve played the game a dozen times, though only once since 2010. And we’re not playing it this week, but we are playing the most recent game by the same developer (Criterion Games), namely Need for Speed: Most Wanted.

The two games have a lot in common; they have some key differences as well, however.  So, while we’ll spend most of our time playing, I imagine we’ll also spend a fair amount of time discussing the similarities and differences between the two games.

We’ll be playing the 360 version of the game; if you’re joining us, make sure you’ve downloaded the free multiplayer updates (there are two, I believe) in advance, they’re large and will take a while.
